Award-wining Nigerian dancehall artiste, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie popularly known as Patoranking, has explained why he built a mini football stadium in Lagos.
Patoranking constructed the stadium in the community he grew up in the Ebute Metta area of the state.
Sharing the clip of the stadium on his Instagram page, the singer explained that he donated it to unite the community.
While expressing his love for the community, Patoranking stated that he decided to give back to the place that shaped his early years.
“God blessed me and I blessed my people, I built this from a place of love to unite my community Ebute Metta. First of Many. World Best.”
Born and raised in Ebute Metta community of Lagos, he grew up sharing one room with his parents and five siblings. Patoranking originated from Onicha, Ebonyi State.
Patoranking is regarded as the pioneer of mainstream reggae-dancehall music. He rose to fame after his song Alubarika featuring Timaya hit the airwave.
