Songwriter and singer Olawale Olarewaju aka Brymo has shared why he has no collaboration with Adekunle Gold.
In an Instagram live, Brymo noted that in 2021 Adekunle Gold reached out to him for a collaboration that he was excited to be part of but then he dished out some rules that may have been difficult for Adekunle to meet up with which made the collaboration not occur.
He said “In 2021, I got a call from Adekunle Gold for a collaboration and I said yo bro let’s make it an EP (extended play) bro, and then I went on to say we have to pick a precise date for release and all that, I started laying my rules down, I am sure that’s why my brother never came back. It probably has to do with record label impediments and stuff like that” said Brymo.
Brymo further revealed likely challenges artists face while seeking collaboration with him.
“The real issues with collaboration with me are calendar and date. For instance, if I decide to make an album, I want to pick a release date or I don’t want to pick any I announce the release date or I do not at all which means that if I do not, I am just going to shit on you on the day and it is going to be a great rain of wonderful manna from heaven or I pick a date and make sure I stick to that date and make sure I made it. So the scheduling of the project might be a problem because other people have their management because the bulk of artists that are signed to these people and so there is a due process before you can get people on the track and most importantly some other artists like to take their time, when you call upon them it may take a month or two before you finally get them to do it” said Brymo.
