The security operatives of Katsina State have reportedly arrested a lady named Aisha Abubakar for allegedly delivering ammunition to militants.

New Telegraph reports that a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama disclosed this on Monday.

According to Makama, the ammo was found during a regular examination of Abubakar’s luggage. “The authorities discovered the ammunition in her luggage during a routine search,” he stated.

The suspect first denied being involved in the criminal conduct. Makama did, however, later acknowledge her involvement in the operation.

“She initially denied involvement but later confessed to be transporting the ammunition to the terrorist group from Nassarawa state,” Makama explained

Further interrogation provided additional information regarding the ammunition’s planned destination.

Makama wrote, “During the course of interrogation, the suspect confesses that she was heading to Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa LGA in Katsina state.”

Makama also stressed the importance of this arrest in the broader context of counter-terrorism efforts.

“The incident highlights the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and the importance of vigilance in preventing the proliferation of illegal weapons,” he said.
