The President of the Employers Association for Private Employment Agencies of Nigeria (EAPEAN), Dr. Femi Ogunlowo, has extended warm congratulations to all Nigerian workers on the occasion of the 2025 International Workers’ Day.

In a statement released from the EAPEAN Secretariat in Lagos, Dr. Ogunlowo commended Nigerian workers across all sectors for their dedication, resilience, and contributions to national development, especially in the face of ongoing economic and security challenges.

“The Nigerian worker continues to demonstrate exceptional courage and adaptability. As partners in national growth, your efforts deserve not only celebration but also stronger commitment from all stakeholders to ensure decent work and fair labor practices,” he stated.

He further emphasized the vital role of private employment agencies in bridging employment gaps, especially for young people, and reaffirmed EAPEAN’s commitment to ethical recruitment, protection of workers’ rights, and alignment with international labour standards.

Ogunlowo called on both public and private sector actors to deepen cooperation in building an inclusive and productive workforce.

“We must move from adversarial labor relations to strategic partnerships that promote productivity, dignity of labor, and mutual respect,” he said.

As the theme of this year’s Workers’ Day underscores the future of decent work, EAPEAN urges all employers to invest in upskilling, fair remuneration, and safe workplaces.

“Let us jointly ensure that no worker is left behind in the evolving world of work,” the President concluded.
