It was a bright and beautiful day in Osun yesterday 17th December 2021 when the biggest empowerment ever happened to residents of the Ila-Orangun/Boluwaduro/Ifedayo Federal constituency of the state.
The National Coordinator of Youth Inclusive Initiative, Adeniyi Oluwatosin Ismail and his team held the first Widows Empowerment Program (WEP) in the Federal constituency.
The WEP being the very first of its kind it in the area.
In line with Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, the team has realized that there is so much hunger amidst our widows and we have vowed to end that before first quarter of 2022.
The first program of its kind that saw to the feeding of 550 widows in Ila Orangun and 300 in Boluwaduro and 300 in Ifedayo, the team will see to it that food is frequently provided to Widows in the Ila-Orangun/Boluwaduro/Ifedayo Federal constituency.
The group to feature Widows, women and children in subsequently.
According to the group, “Our focus on women is bourne out of the crucial roles they have been playing during the elections in the Constituency. There turn out and doggedness during elections is always second to non. Feeding them and leaving their children out is however not our mission.
