The Special Adviser to the Governor on Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon Durojaye Isaac has charged Christians in the state and the country to imbibe the virtues and spirits of Jesus Christ for witnessing another Christmas celebration.
He said the celebration marked the birth of Jesus Christ which is synonymous with love, charity, unity and peaceful co-existence.
Durojaye, in a Christmas massage, stated that Christmas presents a golden opportunity to celebrate Christ, his humble beginning, and the lessons his life taught, charged Christians to emulate Jesus Christ in all their life.
He said it is another opportunity to celebrate Jesus Christ and lessons of humility, selflessness, Godliness, and service.
He said:”I celebrate with all residents of Osun State and Nigerians for witnessing the 2024 Christmas festivity. I want to also charge our people to be sensitive during the Yuletide, especially with regard to security. I encourage everyone to use the opportunity of the occasion to remember the life of Christ and emulate him”.
The Special Adviser called for a renewed commitment to the service of humanity in line with the teaching of Jesus Christ, adding that we must strive at all time for the progress of our society.

While enjoining Christians to be moderate in their celebrations, Durojaye called for prayer for Osun State and the country in particular to overcome the myriad of challenges that has hampered progress and impactful governance.
“Just as the birth of Jesus Christ opened up a new chapter for mankind, I want to assure Osun people of the present administration’s commitment to improving their life by ensuring that available resources count for their good,” he said.
