Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Osun State Chapter has congratulated all Christian faithful on the occasion of this year’s Christmas, commemorating the birth of Jesus.
This was contained in a statement by the association’s Chairman, Timothy Agbor made available to newsmen on Saturday, through the Secretary, Tajudeen Amodu appreciates members for their support and understanding since the beginning of the outgoing year 2021, urging them to celebrate the period with utmost modesty.
“We felicitate our Christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of this year’s Christmas. Christmas is a period of peace, hope, love and salvation as revealed by the Lord Jesus to all mankind and we glorify the name of God for counting us among those that are alive to see the day.
“We enjoin us all to let the miraculous lessons surrounding the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus reflect in our lives as these are atoms that will cement the peaceful co-existence in our communities.
“We also enjoin our members and the entire people to celebrate the Yuletide season in moderation and remember to extend the good gesture of the period to other people,” concluded the statement.
