The new Olomo of Omo-Ijesa in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Michael Oluwaseyi Adeolu Adejola (Odundun II), yesterday presented a staff of office from the Osun State Government.
Presenting the staff of office to the monarch on behalf of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Rasaq Adeosun, congratulated the people of Omo-Ijesa over the successful appointment of the monarch.
Oyetola, who described the new Olomo as a round peg in a round hole, noted that Olomo would experience massive development during the reign of Oba Adeolu.
Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa also praised the stakeholders for the peaceful selection of the new Olomo.
The monarch advised the Olomo not to see the new position as having no challenges but to see it as one that requires high responsibilities in dealing with his subjects and carrying out his day-to-day activities.
He advised the monarch to imbibe the spirit of fairness and restraint in exercising the power conferred on him.
Owaloko urged Omo-Ijesa indigenes at home and in the Diaspora to support Olomo to achieve successes in his reign.
Congratulations to His Royal Majesty and my people at Omo Ijesa on the occasion of the presentation of the staff of office to the Kabiyesi. Ki ade ki o pe lori, ki bata ki o pe lese, ki eran oba ki o jeko pe. Amin.
