As Oba Jimoh Abidemi Oyetunji Olanipekun clocks ten years on the throne of his forbearers, a front line community leader in Osun State and erstwhile permanent secretary, State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole, has felicitated with the monarch and the indigenes of the ancient city on the milestone.
Kolawole in a statement made available to newsmen today in Osogbo, the State capital described the reign of Oba Olanipekun Larooye II as one that has placed Osogbo on the global map coupled with many infrastructural developments which have since changed the face of Osogbo and becoming a city to reckon with in Nigeria and beyond.
The Ex-SUBEB helmsman described Oba Olanipekun as an exemplary monarch and father who continuously exhibit empathy and lives a moderate life.
In his words, Kolawole said “I felicitate with our Kabiyesi and the entire indigenes of Osogbo on this great milestone, the reign of Kabiyesi has indeed brought an enormous development to Osogboland”
“Ten years down the line, Oba Olanipekun reign has been a peaceful one which have unravelled many potentials the ancient city is endowed”
“I am glad to have been a lucky sojourner with kabiesi in the last one decade especially in the area of educational development with very great emphasis on character moulding and skills acquisition”
“Kabiesi requires our prayers and support in his onerous tasks of preserving the heritage of his forbearers while we must equally continue to offer our prayers for long life on the throne.
“I wish Kabiesi many years on the throne in peace of mind and robust health”, Kolawole concluded.
