THE Commissioner for Transportation in Lagos State, Dr Frederic Oladeinde, has been conferred with the ‘Ikorodu Oga’ Fellow Award by the Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS) in recognition of his efforts towards ensuring that Lagos witnesses a significant transformation in the transportation sector.
At the annual celebration of the ancient Ikorodu town tagged ‘Ikorodu Oga Day,’ the award was presented to the commissioner by the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, for his giant strides in the transport sector in Lagos State.
Oladeinde was commended for the various transportation projects implemented under his watch, which are poised to be of significant benefits to the people of Lagos State, and by extension the residents of Ikorodu.
The commissioner, who was represented by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Maritime Affairs, Prince Yomi Sopitan, while expressing his deep appreciation to the Ayangburen of Ikorodu for the honour bestowed on him, also extended his appreciation to the organisers of the annual event, the Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS).
He further acknowledged the team work in place at the Ministry of Transportation, saying, “Governance is a collective effort.”
