The Lowa Adimula of Ile-Ife, High Chief Adekola Adeyeye Adesiyan has congratulated the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II as he clocks 8th years on the throne.
The Lowa Adimula made this known in his Congratulatory Message issued and made available to newsmen in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The High Chief Adesiyan described the Ooni Ogunwusi as the revered custodian of Yoruba heritage, history, and traditions, as he acknowledges the invaluable role of the famous traditional ruler in preserving and passing down the cultural and spiritual practices of the Yoruba people.
He said, “Kabiyesi, since ascending the throne of your ancestors, your leadership has been instrumental in conflict prevention and resolution, community development, as well as representing the interests and concerns of Nigerians, both at home and in diaspora”.
The Lowa Adimula described the Ooni of Ife as the foremost traditional ruler who has been making a very significant impact in the development of Yoruba land in particular and Nigeria in general since his ascension to the exalted throne.
The High Chief Adekola hailed the Ooni Ogunwusi for using his position to promote peace among the various ethnic nationalities in the country as well as working with relevant stakeholders and institutions to advance the socio-economic development of the people.
Describing the Ooni Ogunwusi as a vibrant, philantropist, visionary, loving and progressive monarch, the Lowa Adimula of Ile-Ife noted that the Arole Oodua has always been at the forefront of the quest for a just society where there is justice, equity and fairness.
The Lowa Adimula of Ile-Ife noted that, the Ooni has used his Gof-given wisdom, diplomacy, tact and humility to contribute to the peaceful resolution of some knotty issues in the country to the admiration of all while praising the traditional ruler for his interest in the development of youths, especially in the area of project sponsorship and the provision of platforms for them to showcase their Gof-given talents, a development that has taken many youths of the streets and given the opportunity to positively contribute to nation-building.
The High Chief Adekola prayed to the Almighty God to grant the Ooni Ogunwusi long life, good health, peaceful and purposeful reign to continue to contribute meaningfully to national development, unity and harmony in the country.
The respected and famous Owa Adimula of Ile-Ife further admonished people to always come to Ile-Ife for the authentic history of the Yorubas instead of hearing or saying what is not true.
“Ile-Ife is the right place for anyone to hear the genuine history of the land” he added.
