An Islamic organization, Faith Centre of Nigeria, has rejoiced with Muslims in the world over the successful completion of the Ramadan period, which the organization said involved purification through fasting and seeking for blessings and forgiveness from the Almighty Allah, the creator of mankind.

The organization in it’s Eid-el-fitri message, by its president, Mallam Yeken Uthman, said the lessons of Ramadan should be translated to daily lives and work towards ensuring unity, peace and progress of the country.

“Ramadan, being the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is very important, considering the fact that it beckoned on Muslim faithful to eschew self-seeking personal goals and work assiduously towards developing spiritual growth through demonstration of kindness, forgiveness and generosity for all, irrespective of religious differences.

Ramadan is also a relevant period for the Muslim Ummah as it gives opportunity to the faithful to purify their souls in a bid to bring them closer to the Almighty God. After a successful completion of this obligation which is, among the five pillars of Islam”.

The organization congratulated the Muslim brothers and sisters on successfully completing this all-important religious act. It opined that the spirit of sacrifice which the Ramadan epitomises in the lives of Muslims should be demonstrated in the coming months to promote peace and harmony in the country.

The organization enjoined Muslims to practice the lessons of self-denial and sacrifices the period of fasting teaches.

“We thank Allah for witnessing the end of another Ramadan fasting period. The organization prayed that the sacrifices made during the period will not be in vain. We must not forget to always put into practice all the lessons taught by the Holy Quran as also emphasised by the Prophet Mohammed”.

The Islamic organization congratulated all Muslim faithful on a successful completion of the Ramadan Fast and urged all Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for the peace, unity, prosperity and stability of the nation.

The organization called on all Nigerians to be inspired by the virtues gained during the Holy Month of Ramadan to live a life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another. It wishes all Nigerians a happy, peaceful and rewarding Eid -il-Fitr Celebration.
