The chief executive officer Akol Group of Companies, Professor Olasiji Olamiju has described the death of the foremost traditional ruler, Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran as a rude shock and loss not only to the ijeshas but the entire Yoruba race.
This is contained in a release he personally signed.
According to him, the late oba Adekunle Aromolaran dedicated his reign to the development and progress of Ijesaland maintaining that his impacts will remain evergreen .
I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our beloved Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland.
His demise marks the end of an era and a tremendous loss for the entire Ijesa community.
According to him, “Oba Aromolaran’s remarkable 42-year reign, which began on February 20, 1982, was characterized with wisdom, compassion, and visions that culminated to the growth of Ijesaland”.
“As a proud son of Esa-Oke, I had the privilege of knowing Oba Aromolaran as a pillar of wisdom, a champion of education, and a passionate advocate for the well-being of his people.
He noted that late ova Adekunle Aromolaran had impressive academic achievements, extensive experience in public service, and left an indelible mark on his community.
He therefore extends his heartfelt condolences to the Aromolaran family, the people of Ijesaland, and all touched by Oba Aromolaran’s life and legacy.
“Praying God to grant the ijeshas the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss of Oba Aromolaran’s Professor Olasiji Olamiju also prays that God rest the soul of the foremost traditional ruler in peace.
