Verydarkman Blasts Mercy Johnson For Arresting Lady Who Allegedly Defamed Her Husband

Popular Nigerian critic, Verydarkman, has called out actress Mercy Johnson over the arrest of a Tiktok content creator, Eedie Bliss for sharing unconfirmed news about her family.

TheSource reports that it was widely rumoured in December 2025 that mercy Johnson’s husband, Prince Henry Okojie allegedly bought a mansion for another woman who got pregnant for him outside his marriage.

Talking about the unverified rumours, Eedie Bliss who quoted Cutie Juls as her source, said Mercy Johnson allegedly connived with the pregnant mistress house help to cause her miscarriage.

Reacting to the accusations, the Tiktok creator was recently arrested and detained in Abuja following a petition by Mercy Johnson’s husband.

The development sparked Controversy online with netizens criticising the actress for Eedie Bliss arrest, and questioned why she didn’t arrest the news originator who she quoted in her video.

Reacting to the incident, Verydarkman who condemned Eddie’s detention, called out Mercy Johnson for being biased in her case.

While tagging defamation as a civil case, Verydarkman explained that Mercy Johnson recently tagged the detention of Regina Daniels brother, Sammy unlawful when he was arrested for the same offense by senator Ned Nwoko.

Verydarkman revealed that the arrested content creator is supposed to have her wedding on Saturday, threatening to get his legal team involved in the case if she’s not released today.

“Dear mercy Johnson, you can’t fight for the release of Sammy when Ned arrested him over defamation/ETC then later turn around to do the same thing with your husband all in the name of defamation. There was no name your camp didn’t call Ned NWOKO then

“If you and your husband feels defamed by that girl’s post, please sue her to court. And stop using the police to oppress people. To think of it, this girl’s case is different because she stated her source as cutiejuls blog. Release her and go to court. I heard her wedding is this Saturday,” he said.
