Copa Del Rey: ‘It’s Clear’ – Flick Explains Why Barcelona Lost To Atletico Madrid

Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick has suggested why his team lost to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the semi-final Copa del Rey tie on Thursday.

Flick watched as goals from Eric García (OG), Antoine Griezmann, Ademola Lookman, and Julian Alvarez ensured Atletico Madrid defeated Barcelona at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

Both teams will meet in the return leg at Camp Nou on March 3.

Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Flick admitted that Barcelona didn’t play well as a team in the first half.

“We didn’t play well as a team in the first half. We didn’t press as we wanted, and I would have liked to have seen the hunger that Atlético showed. In the second half, we were better,” the German said.
