Osun Poly Rector, Alabi Calls for Fervent Prayers, Commitment to Service

…Says we should remember Governor Adeleke in our supplications

As Christians and Islamic faithful throughout the world commence the Lenten and Ramadan season today, the Rector, Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Comrade Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi has charged the religious faithful to engage themselves in fervent prayers and remain sacred and just in their daily activities, just as he charged them to remember Governor Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke in their prayers.

The Rector noted that the season is a period of penance, forgiveness and reconciliation, during which individuals must run away from all forms of sins, iniquities and immoralities.

According to him ” this period should be devoted to engage in fervent prayers, we should all avoid all forms of sins, truancy at work, indolence, backbiting, stealing, extortion, abusive expressions and anything that may serve as obstacles for our prayers to be answered by God.
” During this Ramadan season, we should rededicate ourselves to holiness. This is a sacred period during which we are expected to embrace holistic holiness and absolute devotion to our God.
“At this period, we should encourage unity, peace, love and peace. Almsgiving and relentless prayers and spiritual exhortations should be our primary day-to-day activities,” Alabi admonished.
