Osun 2026: Political Parties Pass Vote Of Confidence In INEC REC

Group of Political Parties in the state have commended the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, for keeping to its promise of being neutral in the process leading to the forthcoming August 15 governorship election in the state.

In a statement signed by the state chairman of Action Peoples Party (APP), Hon. Odesola Oluseye Titus, on behalf of other parties in Osogbo on Wednesday, they appreciated INEC for its professionalism and comportment in keeping the peaceful atmosphere in the build-up to the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

According to Odesola, INEC staffs in the state have demonstrated the high level of professionalism, which shown the level of their preparedness, right from the commencement of the Continuous Voters Registration till date.

In his words, “The early sensitisation embark upon by Osun Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, is commendable and unprecedented in the history of any election in our dear state.

Agboke has never looked down on any of us as chairmen of political parties in the state and he has promised to be an unbiased empire in the forthcoming elections.

“We wish to pass a vote of confidence in him and we believe that the Osun governorship election shall be a model for other states in the country. We are solidly behind him because of the trust we have in him.
