Ebenezer Ige Chair Students Committee for Adeleke’s re-election bid

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has appointed Comrade Ebenezer Ige as Chairman of the Students Affairs Committee of the Imole Campaign Council 2026 (TICC), ahead of the August 2026 governorship election.

Governor Adeleke who inaugurated 52 Imole Campaign Committee for his reelection on Wednesday, boast said he is already feeling the cloud of victory around him, his team and his political party, the Accord.

Comrade Ige, popularly known as Ebby, brings years of experience in student leadership and youth mobilization to his new role.

He previously served as Secretary of the Students’ Union Government at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, and later emerged as Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Committee (JCC), Osun Axis.

He also served as Special Assistant on Social Mobilization to former Governor Rauf Aregbesola and currently holds the position of Senior Special Assistant to Governor Adeleke on Civil Society Engagement.

His appointment is seen as a strategic move to galvanize student and youth support as the Imole Campaign Council prepares to drive grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
