Rep. Salam Launches Support Scheme for Adeleke Campaign, Distributes 160 Cars, Motorcycles

The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam, has distributed cars and motorcycles to support the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

The distribution took place on Tuesday May 11, 2026 at country home in Ede, during the official launch of the Accord governorship campaign in Ede Federal Constituency.

At the event, 150 motorcycles and 10 cars were distributed to selected campaign coordinators drawn from the 42 wards across the four local government areas to aid campaign activities ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

Speaking at the event, Governor Adeleke’s sister, Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, commended Salam for supporting the governor’s re-election bid through the empowerment initiative.

She urged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the vehicles for the campaign and expressed optimism that they would return with them to celebrate Governor Adeleke’s second-term victory after the election.

Mrs Modupeola also prayed for the safety of all beneficiaries during the campaign period.

In his remarks, the Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi, praised Salam for what he described as his consistent contributions to party development and grassroots mobilization.

He noted that politics should be used as a platform to positively impact the lives of people through quality representation and empowerment programmes.

Oyewumi also advised the beneficiaries to remember the society and extend support to others whenever they have the opportunity.

Also speaking, Rep. Salam explained that the beneficiaries were party members appointed as campaign coordinators across the 42 wards in Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency.

He said the vehicles were provided mainly to facilitate door-to-door mobilization and campaign activities for Governor Adeleke’s re-election.

The federal lawmaker expressed confidence that the governor would secure victory in the August 15 governorship poll and urged the beneficiaries to use the vehicles responsibly for the success of the party’s campaign.

Earlier, during the inauguration of the campaign council committee for Ede Federal Constituency, the Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, Prof. Wale Oladipupo, formally inaugurated members of the committee and charged them to work diligently toward ensuring victory for Governor Adeleke at the poll.

He expressed confidence that the governor would record a massive victory in the election.

The Imole Campaign Council in Ede Federal Constituency is chaired by Elder Sunday Atidade Akande, with council chairmen and other party stakeholders serving as members.

Dignitaries present at the event included the Osun State Chairman of the Accord Party, Pastor Victor Akande, lawmakers, top government officials, party leaders, and supporters from across the constituency
