Toyin Abraham: Acting Started Paying Off Eight Years Ago

Actress, Toyin Abraham opens up on recent miscarriage

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham, has broken her silence on the financial struggles she faced in her career, revealing that it took more than a decade before she began earning a substantial income.

Abraham, who made this revelation in a recent video making rounds on social media, said she only started making real money about 8 years ago, despite joining the Nigerian movie industry in 2001.

According to her, in the early 2000s, many actors worked long hours for minimal pay, often taking roles to stay afloat rather than for profit.

“I just started making money 8 years ago, and I’ve been in the film industry since 2001. Back then, we acted and got peanuts, but we did it just to survive,” she said.
