Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has eulogised Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the immediate past Minister of Interior, on his 67th birthday.

Adeleke described Aregbesola as a political collosus who is loved by the people of the state and Nigeria.

The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, at the birthday programme on Saturday, said those who are matter in Osun politics are with Aregbesola.

Adeleke declared that Aregbesola’s imprints in Osun and Nigeria are standing the test of time.

He described Aregbesola as an exceptional and charismatic leader worthy of emulation.

“You are blessed. You only know a core politician with the calibre of people following him when he is not in power. For me to see the calibre of people that are here even without being in power at the moment, it means God is with you. It also shows that you are on ground.

“From Osogbo to Iwo, to Ejigbo, the crop of politicians with you are the core politicians of Osun. You are someone who always elevate your followers and today, you are reaping the fruits of that loving gesture of yours. I want to tell you something that whether somebody decides not to celebrate you, what you did in the history of Osun will continue to speak for you.

“I’m happy to inform you that the projects you initiated which were abandoned by your successor are being continued by our administration. You’re a wonderful person.

“On behalf of the Osun State Executive Council, we are celebrating you, our party, the PDP is celebrating you. Continue to do good to people. You are reaping the fruits of your legacy and impact in the lives of the people. I pray God to grant you many more years in good and sound health in service to Osun State.”
