The Special Adviser to the Governor on Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon. Durojaye Isaac (SIKOMOLE) has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday.

Durojaye described the frontline monarch as a versatile source of intervention in the nation’s contemporary challenges, saying the monarch remains a critical partner of government on issues of governance and development.

In a statement to commemorate the 50th birthday of Oba Ogunwusi he personally signed, Durojaye commended the foremost monarch for being consistent in contributing to national discourse on issues of importance since ascending the throne of his forefathers

The statement read, “On this auspicious occasion of your birthday anniversary, I join your family, friends and well-wishers to thank Almighty God for your life which has been marked by outstanding accomplishments and enduring contributions to national discourse.

“I sincerely congratulate His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, on the occasion of your 50th birthday

“Your majesty, your reign has been that of peace and prosperity to the good people of Ile-Ife and your actions have further promoted peace and unity among Yoruba race and significant impact on the country. May your reign continue to witness a monumental increase in peace and prosperity in Ile-Ife, Osun State and Nigeria as a whole”.

“Your royal interventions are notable in entrepreneurship, youth engagement, scholarships and agriculture where you have regularly deployed your means and influence to impact the people on an annual basis. You are a pride to the royal institution and I cannot thank you enough.

“On behalf of my family, Ile-Ife, the government and people of Osun, I congratulate you and pray that the Almighty God gives you wisdom, peace and happiness. Enjoy this day to the fullest! Happy birthday to you.”

Durojaye said, Oba Ogunwusi is a revered royal father with commitment to uplift Yoruba nation and black race as a whole. He commended the traditional ruler for his unwavering dedication to the highest ideals.

The Special Adviser therefore, described Ooni Ogunwusi as a rare gem and notable advocate of peace and sustainable development.

Oba Ogunwusi was born on Oct. 17, 1974. He ascended the throne in 2015 as the 51st Ooni of Ife.
