What would have been a day to celebrate for Spain has been turned into a media scandal. The Spanish Football President caused a tumultuous situation by unsolicitedly kissing one of the players during the presentation ceremony.
Many players and individuals have come out in support of the player, Jenni Hermoso, and the Spanish Women’s team. Also, Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian recently took to social media where he shared a story to express his views. The Spanish team has made it clear that they won’t represent the country until the president resigns, with the team’s opinion being supported by Team USA’s Megan Rapinoe.
