The immediate former Deputy Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Benedict Olugboyega Alabi (BOA), has expressed deep sympathy to the people of Ijesaland and Osun State, both at home and abroad, over the passing of the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Adekunle Aromolaran.

Alabi, through Media Team,
Osun Ajóse foundation, described the late monarch as a revered leader whose demise is a great loss to the people of Ijesaland and Osun State as a whole. He extended his condolences to the royal family and the entire community, praying for strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Alabi highlighted the significant contributions of Oba Adekunle Aromolaran to the cultural and socio-economic development of Ijesaland during his illustrious reign. He noted that the late monarch was a custodian of the rich cultural heritage of the Ijesa people and played a pivotal role in fostering unity and peace among his subjects. According to him, the Owa Obokun was a man of wisdom who brought progress to his kingdom through his visionary leadership.

Reflecting on the late king’s impact, Alabi emphasized that Oba Aromolaran’s tenure was marked by unwavering dedication to the advancement of Ijesaland. He recounted how the monarch advocated for educational growth, infrastructural development, and the overall welfare of his people. “Oba Aromolaran’s reign was one that embraced both tradition and modernity, bridging the gap between the old and the new,” Alabi stated.

The former Deputy Governor also praised the late king’s ability to engage effectively with state and national leaders, ensuring that the interests of Ijesaland were well represented at all levels of governance. He added that the late monarch’s leadership style fostered a spirit of collaboration, which contributed significantly to the region’s stability and growth.

Furthermore, Alabi acknowledged the profound role of Oba Aromolaran in maintaining the cultural identity of Ijesaland. He lauded the monarch for being a custodian of the Ijesa people’s values, customs, and traditions while also embracing necessary changes to drive development. The late king’s influence extended beyond the borders of Ijesaland, as he was widely respected across Nigeria for his wisdom and leadership.

Alabi concluded by urging the people of Ijesaland to take solace in the remarkable legacy left behind by Oba Aromolaran. He encouraged them to remain united and uphold the values that the late king championed throughout his reign. “Let us honor his memory by continuing to work together for the progress and prosperity of Ijesaland,” Alabi said.

He also expressed his confidence that the royal family and the people of Ijesaland would find the strength to navigate this period of grief, drawing inspiration from the remarkable life of their departed monarch. Alabi reassured the community of his continuous support, standing with them as they mourn the loss of a great leader.
