The Employers Association for Private Employment Agencies of Nigeria (EAPEAN) and International Returns and Reintegration Assistance (IRARA) have signed a landmark partnership agreement aimed at providing reintegration assistance to Nigerians returning from Germany to Nigeria.

The agreement, signed at the EAPEAN Secretariat in Lagos, marks a significant milestone in EAPEAN’s history and is a testament to the shared commitment of both organizations to supporting Nigerian returnees. The partnership is part of the ARRIVES project, funded through the Asylum Migration and Integrated Fund (AMIF) of the European Commission.

Through this partnership, EAPEAN will provide internship and job placement opportunities for returnees, empowering them to reintegrate into Nigerian society and contribute to the country’s economic growth. IRARA, with its extensive experience in providing reintegration assistance, will work closely with EAPEAN to create a supportive ecosystem that enables returnees to thrive in Nigeria.

According to Mr. Jide Afolabi, Executive Secretary of EAPEAN, “We are excited to collaborate with IRARA and look forward to a fruitful collaboration that makes a positive impact on the lives of Nigerian returnees.”

The partnership is expected to make a significant difference in the lives of Nigerian returnees, providing them with the support and resources they need to reintegrate into society and contribute to the country’s economic growth.

Ms. Eze Chioma Judith, Project Manager, IRARA, expressed gratitude to EAPEAN for their dedication to this partnership. “The collaboration is expected to create a supportive ecosystem that enables returnees to thrive in Nigeria. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration that promotes the welfare of migrant workers and supports Nigeria’s economic development.”

This strategic partnership is designed to benefit EAPEAN member companies and migrant workers, while contributing to Nigeria’s economic growth. The partnership aims to provide a framework for cooperation on reintegration assistance and job placement for returnees. Further details of the agreement will be shared with EAPEAN members in due course.
