The Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa in Osun State, Oba (Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi Arowotawaya II has felicitated with Arole Oduduwa, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the occasion of his 48th birthday anniversary.
Extolling the virtues of the monarch, the Elerinmo described the revered monarch as a
strong advocate of peace and unity, adding that the first class and famous traditional ruler has sustained his passion for the advancement of his domain, Yoruba land and Nigeria in general.
The Elerinmo, who admonished the Ooni of Ife not to relent in his efforts to advance the cause of the people, added that traditional rulers play key roles in promoting unity and harmony across the country.
For him to contribute his quota to the development of youths and women in the ancient community, the Ooni of Ife has been moulding the future of entire youths of the land in the areas of agriculture and agro-allied industry.
As part of his efforts, recently, he put in place one billion Naira funding which he described will obviously help the youth of the entire House of Oduduwa and beyond and with the loan, Ile-Ife would begin to supply food to South-West states.
This efforts of Ooni Ogunwusi was to complement the Agro-prenuership Summit and it will help to grow Ile-Ife and South Western Nigeria while in a shortest period of time, Ile-Ife will be feeding the whole nation and South-West states especially will depend on the community to get food.
In his goodwill message, the traditional ruler of Erinmo-Ijesa prayed for longer life for the Ooni Ogunwusi in the service of humanity.
He said, ”on behalf of my royal family and entire residents of Erinmo-Ijesa community, I convey my best wishes to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi on the occasion of his 48th birthday anniversary.
“As the paramount ruler marks his 48th birthday
anniversary, I wish the Ooni of Ife longer reign on
the stool of his forefathers”.
The Elerinmo however, wished Kabiyesi a joyous birthday celebration.
Similarly, the Elerinmo used the medium to congratulates the Ooni Ogunwusi on the conferment of National Honour of Commander of the Federal Republic, CFR, on him by President Muhammad Buhari.
Oba Arowotawaya, described the honour on the famous traditional ruler as well deserved one due to his contributions to the promotion of peace, culture, tradition and unity not only to Nigeria but entire African countries.
The Elerinmo added that, the honour was a manifestation of the commitment of Ooni Ogunwusi to entire youth and women empowerment and his complete philanthropist gesture to the vulnerable and less privileged.
“The Ooni of Ife is a role model to his
contemporaries and the younger generation owing to his contributions to humanity.
“The monarch is known for his contributions to the social, economic and political development of Nigeria.
“Kabiyesi deserves to be celebrated for his passion for the growth and progress of the country in general” the Elerinmo concluded.
