The National Deputy President, Chief Frederick Isiotan Fasheun’s led Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, Chief Leke Akintayo Olojongbodu, has described the emergence of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the Executive Governor of Osun State as a round peg in a round hole.

Olojongbodu made this known in his congratulatory message to Governor Adeleke and made available to journalists in Osogbo on Wednesday.

According to the security guru who said that having Governor Adeleke as the governor of Osun State will not only contribute to the betterment of the citizens of the state but will transform the entire state for better in terms of people oriented programmes.

Olojongbodu who also felicitates with the Chief of Staff to the governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Hon Teslim Igbalaiye, member, House of Representatives representing, Egbedore, Ede North and South Federal Constituency, Hon Bamidele Salam and Chief (Mrs) Dupe Adeleke Sanni as well as other political associates working with the governor on the victory prayed that Almighty Allah will continue to guide and uphold the new leaderships in the state.

Olojongbodu who described the team working with Governor Adeleke as a good omen towards the development the state admonished Mr Governor not to relent in redeeming the pledges made to the electorates during the campaign period while he should not take the issue that has to do with security with granted.

“I want to enjoin Mr Governor not to deviate from the good legacy laid down by their father and his brother, Governor Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke as the name that has already been built must not be dented.

“I want Mr Governor to bring every aggrieved group together as he should not discriminate but creating room for togetherness under the umbrella of the party, PDP” he said.

Olojongbodu further reiterated the readiness of his group, OPC, to collaborate with Governor Adeleke’s led administration in curbing criminal activities in all nook and cranny of the state.

“We are battle ready to join the state government in tackling security challenges in Osun state. Already, we are working hand in hand with the Osun State Police Command to wage war against criminals and we promise not to relent on our efforts as we are calling on our amiable Governor Adeleke to support us in making it easy for us to register Osun as a crime free state” Olojongbodu assured.
