Condolence messages have poured in from across Nigeria, after the capital of Oyo State, Ibadan, was rocked by a massive explosion that killed at least 3 and injured over 70 others on Tuesday.
The blast occurred at exactly 6:57pm in the Old Bodija axis of Ibadan.
Reacting to the sad development, the management of Orisun Igbomina Broadcasting Network in Ila-Orangun, Osun State has extended its sympathies to victims of the disaster and the government of Oyo State.
The media conglomerate, in a statement released on Wednesday, said it received the news with shock and prayed for God to comfort the victims.
In the communiqué, the company said :” The entire management of Orisun Igbomina Broadcasting Network is deeply saddened by the news of a deadly explosion that rocked some areas of Ibadan on Tuesday night.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who have been injured or lost their lives, and all of those whose homes and livelihoods have been affected.”
“We pray for the souls of the dead and speedy recovery for the injured. We hope that the circumstances of this incident will be determined as soon as possible and that normalcy will return to neighborhoods affected by the blast.”
The establishment also condoled with the House of Representatives Member for Ibadan South-East/North-East Federal Constituency, the lawmaker representing the Senatorial District at the National Assembly and other eminent Nigerians affected by the horrific explosion.
“We stand in solidarity with our compatriots in their difficult hour, sharing their sorrow and grief,” the message read.
