Former Super Eagles midfielder, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has reacted to Robert Lewandowski’s penalty miss against Mexico in the World Cup on Tuesday.

Lewandowski wasted the opportunity to win the game for Poland from the penalty spot in their goalless draw against Mexico in the second Group C match.

Argentina had earlier suffered a shock defeat to Saudi Arabia in the group and Poland were presented the opportunity to claim all three points

But Lewandowski put the ball in the hands of Mexican goalkeeper and Okocha told Supersport that Lewandowski only showed that he is only but a human being.

“Unfortunately, Lewandowski showed us that he is a human being after all with that miss,” Okocha said.

“You would have thought he is the right person to take it. He’s the right person to give them that advantage that they needed.

“It was a penalty. Moreno, didn’t make contact with the ball.”
