Chief Awosoji to Hold Annual Ifa Festival in Osun
The Akoda Awo of Ilobu, Chief Awosoji Ifadairo, is set to host his annual Ifa Festival tomorrow, April 26, as part of activities lined up for the celebration tagged Ogbeweyin 2026.
The annual spiritual and cultural event began today with the propitiation of revered deities including Ifa, Osun, Egbe, Obatala, and Aje at Awosoji Street, Alapupu Atura, Ilobu.
In a statement issued by the celebrant and Chief Priest, Chief Awosoji Ifadairo, the festival is designed to promote Yoruba cultural heritage and spiritual traditions while fostering unity among devotees and guests.
He disclosed that the entertainment of guests and the grand finale of the programme will take place tomorrow, Sunday, April 26, at Arena Area, Igbokiti Road, Okini, Osun State.
The event is expected to attract dignitaries, cultural enthusiasts, and traditional worshippers from within and outside the state.
Renowned Fuji maestro, Saheed Osupa, is billed to perform as the guest artist at the grand celebration.
According to Chief Awosoji, the three-day programme will conclude on Monday, April 27, with Ifa Dida—a spiritual consultation session—at his temple located on Awosoji Street, Alapupu, Ilobu.
He called on the public to join in celebrating the festival and preserving the rich cultural and spiritual legacy of the Yoruba people.
