Eid-el-Kabir: Durojaye Preaches Sacrifice, Unity

…Calls for continuous support, prayer for Adeleke’s Govt

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Cooperatives and Empowerment, Honourable Durojaye Isaac, has called on Osun citizens to embrace unity, sacrifice and renewed commitment to the development of the state as Muslims in the state and across the country celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

The Special Adviser in a Sallah, extolled the citizens of the state for their exemplary good virtues while urging them to use the occasion of the celebration to rededicate themselves to their creator.

He urged Muslims to use the festive period to pray for the state, peace and support all developmental projects embarked upon by the Adeleke government.

He tasked Muslim ummah to spread love through cheerful giving, identifying obedience as key to unlocking the unending grace of Allah.

Durojaye, who stressed the importance of harmony, enjoined citizens to tolerate one another and live peacefully, noting that development and progress are only possible in a peaceful environment.

He called on Muslim faithfuls to use the occasion of the Eidil Adha celebration to renew a sense of sacrifice and brotherhood, saying the lesson inherent in the act of Prophet Ibrahim (ASW) is that there is reward in obedience.

“I urge all Muslims to continue to live in peace and harmony with their fellow brothers, while coexisting peacefully with people of other faiths,” Durojaye reiterates.

He implored Muslims to seize the opportunities embedded in the glorious period to intensify prayers for the success of the new administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

He said; “Let’s continue to be our brother’s keeper, promote unity and cohesion in whatever we do and as well, continue to live in harmony with other fellow Nigerians in fulfilment of the commandment of Allah, and teachings and lessons of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W).

He however, urged Muslim faithful in Osun State to imbibe the virtues as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, who was on the verge to slaughter his only son in fulfilment of his promise and in obedience of God’s commandment before help came from Allah.

He therefore urged Osun residents to vote Governor Ademola Adeleke for second term in office in August 15 gubernatorial election to continue reaping dividends of democracy.
