"Your Work Speaks for You": Students, Youths Endorse Bamidele Salam for Re-Election

Students and youths from Egbedore Local Government under the umbrella of the Federation of Egbedore Local Government Student Association (FELGSA) have declared their support for the re-election of Representatives Bamidele Salam, describing his performance in office as evidence of purposeful and impactful representation.

Speaking during a press conference held on Saturday, National President, Comrade Lawal Kehinde, said the lawmaker’s achievements in education, youth empowerment, and community development have earned him the confidence and support of students across the E4 Federal Constituency, which comprises Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo local governments.

The student body noted that Rep. Salam’s “work speaks for him,” pointing to several educational and youth-focused initiatives executed under the BS-E4 Education Support Programmes.

According to FELGSA, thousands of students within the constituency have benefited from bursary awards, scholarship schemes, free JAMB forms, summer coaching classes, computer training programmes, and mentorship opportunities facilitated by the lawmaker.

The association also highlighted the ₦20 million scholarship and support scheme for indigent students, annual free UTME preparatory classes, sponsorship of students to national leadership conferences in Abuja, and the distribution of educational materials to schools and students across the constituency.

FELGSA further commended Rep. Salam for supporting the association with a ₦5 million grant for the continuation of its secretariat project, describing the gesture as a demonstration of his commitment to student development and institutional growth.

The group stated that the lawmaker’s interventions have contributed significantly to educational advancement and youth inclusion within the constituency.

“At a time when many young people seek leaders who can deliver tangible results, Rep. Bamidele Salam has continued to demonstrate commitment through programmes and initiatives that directly impact students and communities,” the association stated.

The students and youths therefore called on residents, stakeholders, and eligible voters across the constituency to support Rep. Salam’s return to the House of Representatives, saying continuity would help sustain and expand the gains already recorded.

FELGSA also urged political stakeholders to maintain peace, civility, and issue-based engagement throughout the political process.
