Osun 2026: Oyebamiji Promises Interest-Free Loans, Grants

….As Traders Pledge Massive Votes For APC

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the August 15, 2026 Osun State election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), has promised to introduce regular grants and interest-free loans for traders, artisans and small business owners if elected governor.

Oyebamiji made the pledge in Osogbo during an endorsement rally by market men, women and traders at the popular Igbonna Market, where they also pledged to mobilise massive votes for the APC candidate in the forthcoming governorship election.

The traders, who gathered in large numbers at the market square, declared their support for Oyebamiji, describing him as the candidate best suited to drive economic growth and improve the welfare of residents.

Speaking on behalf of the traders, the Babaloja General of Osun State, Chief David Iyiola, represented by the Otun Babaloja of Igbonna Market, Chief Muideen Ajao, and the market secretary, Mrs. Okunoye Temitope, said the endorsement was based on Oyebamiji’s proven track record in both the public and private sectors.

They assured the APC candidate of overwhelming support at the polls, saying market men and women across the state had resolved to work for his victory.

“We are here to publicly and openly declare our unflinching support and endorsement for the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) in whom we are pleased to vote massively for and work assiduously for in order to ensure his emergence at the poll.

“We have resolved to mobilize massively and canvass for votes for him come August 15th, 2026. Our vote is our right and our power, and we are going to give our votes to AMBO as our preferred candidate.

“Our conviction on Oyebamiji’s victory is not farfetched as it is rooted in his competence, capacity, capability and wherewithal to bring the desired change and transformation for our state in general and market women in specific.

“We firmly believe that when Oyebamiji becomes Osun Governor all that we are currently suffering from will be fixed and we strongly believe in his words that he is going to support us and put smiles to our faces.

“Our advice for market men and women including traders, sellers and buyers here at Igbonna market and other markets across the state to come out in large numbers to vote massively for the APC governorship candidate, Oyebamiji”, Mrs. Temitope appealed.

Responding, Oyebamiji described the endorsement as a reflection of the growing public confidence in his candidacy and expressed appreciation to the traders for their support.

He pledged to implement programmes that would provide financial support for market men and women through grants and interest-free loan schemes aimed at strengthening small and medium-scale enterprises across the state.

“For our great market men and women in thousands to have gathered here to endorse the APC governorship candidate, it is indeed a great thing. This is highly impressive, worthwhile and unprecedented, and I am very happy today to see this crowd. I can tell you categorically that this is a welcome development and a testament to the fact that, come August 15th, 2026, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO is going to be elected Osun state Governor.

“Generally, my plans for the markets development in Osun state particularly our market men and women are enormous. We are going to support them through regular grants initiative and interest-free loan scheme. Our government will prioritize the dire needs of our people by investing in them. We shall formulate policies that would give our people unrestricted access to grants and aids as well as interest-free loans to business owners and traders.

The APC candidate also promised to modernise markets across Osun by providing critical infrastructure, improving security and creating an enabling environment for commerce and investment.

According to him, his administration would also extend similar interventions to artisans and other small business operators, while ensuring adequate protection of lives and property to promote economic activities throughout the state.

Oyebamiji expressed confidence that the growing support from traders and other stakeholders would translate into victory for the APC in the August 15 governorship election.

“Let me assure our people that our government will intensify efforts to spread our tentacles to artisans in the state. Since government is about guaranteeing the security and welfare of the people, hence, our administration will leave no stone unturned to provide adequate security, ensure the protection of lives and property of the citizens and prioritise people’s welfare and general well-being.

“We will be deliberate in developing our markets by providing the necessity particularly basic infrastructures and amenities that will aid businesses and trades, and as well advance the cause of commerce and industry in the state.

“Let me assure you all that, we will secure this market and other markets in the state and we are going to support you all with financial aids when elected Governor”, Oyebamiji assured.
