Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun state council will on Thursday mark one year remembrance of late Mrs Folakemi Alonge with memorial lecture and lunching of Folakemi Alonge endowment fund.
A statement by the Chairman, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and Secretary, Comrade Bukola Elufadejin indicated memorial lecture with the theme: Media professionals, Job hazard and imperative of health care” will be delivered by the Chief Medical Director,Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Professor Peter Babatunde Olaitan.
The statement noted that the lecture is instituted in memory of late broadcast Journalist with Osun state broadcasting Corporation, ( OSBC) Mrs Folakemi Alonge who died on 13th January, 2021.
The event which will feature special prayer for NUJ members,Family of the late broadcast journalist and the country as a whole will hold at NUJ Press, Centre,Iwo Ibadan Road, Osogbo by eleven o’clock in the morning.
The statement enjoined journalists in the state, public office holders and politicians as well as members of the public to be part of the event.
