The Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (MAOS) has announced the passing of its foundational member Ambaliyu Babatunde Akanfe.
This was contained in a press statement signed by association national President Comrade Jide Afolabi , on Thursday and made available to journalist.
According to statement, “The Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (MAOS), with heavy heart regrettably announce the passing unto glory of one of us, Mr. Ambaliyu Babatunde Akanfe.
“An Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mr. Ambaliyu popularly called Officer, succumbed to the cold hands of death this morning, Thursday, March 18, 2021 around 1am at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Osun State after a brief illness.
“He was one of the foundational member’s of the Association and was very active till death. He was one of the pillars in Osun Chapter of the Association.
“While alive, Ambaliyu contributed immensely to the growth of MAOS and was a rallying point at all times.
“He was honest, forthright, humane, jovial, humble and accommodating. His nature attracted and endeared many to him.
“While his death was a loss to us, it’s undoubtedly an heaven’s gain because an angel just joined the saints. We take solace in the fact that he lived a good life, affected many lives positively and served his maker till death.
“The Association condoles with his wife, Mrs. Mary Babatunde Ambaliyu, the children and the entire family. We pray that Almighty God shall grant us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“Burial arrangements shall be announced later by the family wherein MAOS family shall actively participate.
“Adieu, Ambaliyu Babatunde Akanfe. May your gentle soul rest with the Lord”. he Said
