As christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Christ today, the Acting Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Dr. Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo has congratulated the people of Osun State, especially members of the polytechnic community, urging them to imbibe the humility embedded in the birth of Christ.
Dr. Odetayo in a release signed by Registrar of the Institution, Mr. Busari Salawu, noted that Christmas is a celebration of love, peace, joy and hope as reflected in the divine conception and birth of the Lord.
While extolling the visionary leadership style of the State Governor, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, the Acting Rector called on the people of the state to use this season of Christmas to pray for the continued peaceful co-existence in the State and purposive governance by the state helmsman.
Dr. Odetayo also noted that Governor Adeleke had indicated that his governance would bring succour and unique transformations to the socio-educational activities in the state, he urged inhabitants of the state to dedicate their prayers to the governor in their worship centers, especially at this season.
The acting Rector on behalf of Management, Staff and Students of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree equally prayed that the celebration of Christmas will bring joy and peace to the people of the state.
