The Osun State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension order placed on the caretaker chairman of Ede South LG, Mr Lukman Afolabi in less than 24hours
This was contained in a statement made available to journalists by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Olamide Tiamiyu.
According to him, the decision was taken after the parliamentary meeting of the Assembly on Thursday when the honourable members reviewed the investigation conducted by the State Assembly.
Consequent upon that, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, recalled the Chairman to resume office with immediate effect.
Egbedun advised Afolabi to be more focused in the discharge of his duties, as the House of Assembly pledged to continue to play its supervisory role of ensuring prompt and adequate dispensation of dividend of democracy to the people.
On Wednesday, the Osun State House of Assembly has suspended the Caretaker Chairman of Ede South Main Council, Mr Lukman Afolabi for misconduct according to a statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Tiamiyu Olamide, however, he has now being reinstated according to the latest development gathered by PrimeReportersNG.
