Residents of Owu Kuta, Ayedire Local Government Area of Osun state have eulogized the Engineering Regiment Corps of Nigeria Army, Ede, Osun State over distribution of foods items to ages in the community.
The food items which was distributed was part of the Army program to cushion the effects of COVID19 pandemic on the people of Kuto in commemoration of the Nigeria Army Day Celebration NADCEL.
Speaking, the Commander of the regiment, Brigadier General Agboola emphasised the fact that Kuta is one of the area under the responsibility of the regiment and also recognises the good.
Gen. Agboola lauded efforts of HRM Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama’s towards his advocacy, support and sustained campaign of the activities of Nigeria Army.
Olowu of Kuta Oba Hammed Makama, who was represented by one of the District Head in his domain Chief A A Fatoyinbo commended the Chief of Army Staff for his kind heartedness towards Nigerians especially the downtrodden at the precarious time.
The monarch also called for prayers and support for the military in its ongoing war against terrorism and insurgency.
The people who trooped in large numbers amidst social distancing gathered at Kuta Freedom Ground to receive palliatives from the Nigerian Army.
