The Lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly, Rep. Bamidele Salam has voiced his support for Ajao Samson, widely known as Impeccable, in his endeavor to set a Guinness World Record for the longest reading marathon in Osun.
During his visit to the Adolak Conference Hall in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, on Friday, Rep. Salam, who also holds the position of House Public Accounts Committee Chairman, pledged his commitment to Samson’s cause.
Samson embarked on a remarkable 214-hour Read-a-Thon starting on Monday, May 6, 2024, with the event scheduled to conclude on May 14, 2024.
Salam said that this initiative serves as a testament to Samson’s dedication to promoting literacy and continuous learning within the community.
The endorsement from Rep. Salam explained the recognition garnered for this commendable undertaking within Osun State and beyond.
He commended Samson’s courage and commitment, noting his nearly 100 hours of continuous reading, and emphasized the importance of improving reading culture to promote literacy within the society.
