The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, made a grand entrance in Lagos on Sunday as they continue their three-day visit to Nigeria after arriving from Abuja.
The royal couple touched down on Nigerian soil aboard an Air Peace flight on Friday, May 10, marking a significant moment in their African tour.
Upon arrival, they were warmly received by Dr Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace, as well as high-ranking military officials and key government functionaries.
The Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal II in Ikeja was abuzz with excitement as a vibrant dance troupe treated the royal visitors to a captivating cultural display.
As part of their Nigerian itinerary, Harry and Meghan are scheduled to meet with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House in Marina, further solidifying the strong diplomatic ties between the UK and Nigeria.
The royal couple’s visit to Nigeria, which began on Friday, is centered around promoting the Invictus Games, a sporting event founded by Prince Harry to support wounded military veterans.
