Osun State Police Command has arrested the Osun State Chairman of the State Transport Management system, OSTMS Wakeel Nurudeen for alleged multiple murder.
Nurudeen Alowonle was said to have been arrested at Oke-Baale area of Osogbo on Monday night.
It was learnt that the suspect had earlier been rescued by his gangs after engaging in gun duel with the Police at his first arrest around Ring-road area but was later rearrested at Oke-Baale after reinforcement by the Police.
One Barret Pistol and live ammunition were said to have been recovered from his unregistered Highlander Jeep after a search by the police.

It would be recalled that Governor Ademola Adeleke had in 2023 appointed Nurudeen Alowonle as Chairman of the State Transport Management Committee alongside Olalekan Ajagungbade also known as Emir who is also being prosecuted.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola declined to pick calls put through to her as she said she is currently attending PPROs meeting in Asaba, Delta State.
But the Osun State Park Management System has alleged shooting in police custody of its State Chairman, Comrade Nurudeen Iyanda, in the wee hours of Monday under circumstances that call for thorough investigations.
In a statement signed by the State Secretary, Mikaela Popoola, the OSTMS said its chairman was arrested over domestic issues and was taken to the police custody.
The Statement calls on members to maintain peace across all parks with an assurance that the matter will be taken up with the appropriate authorities.
