Amidst dancing, funfair and atmosphere of joy, His Excellency, Benedict Olugboyega Alabi joins his kinsmen in his hometown, Ikire in Irewole Local Government of Osun State to celebrate this year’s Ikire Day Celebrations. This is an annual celebration where sons and daughters of Ikire descent come together to celebrate, rejoice and contribute to the growth and development of their hometown.
Earlier in the day; members of different groups visited Oyinbo Dudu Vila his residence at Iyana Egba, Ikire to express their gratitude for the various contributions and support BOA has given to them during the year. Notable among these groups were National Association of Ikire Students (NAIS); lkire Youths Progressive as well as Women Vendor Association. In his remarks, the NAIS President, Com. Ogungbade Mohammed thanked His Excellency for his readiness to always support the NAIS Project which according to him, shows His Excellency’s unmistakable passion for education and the youths.
Subsequently, BOA proceeded to Ayedaade Grammar School, the venue of Ikire Day event where he made a huge donation to the development and growth of Ikire.
Members of Ikire Progressive Union, APC members and all his well wishers were on ground to welcome him to the occasion. BOA prays and wishes the Royal father, HRM Olatunde Falabi and all Sons and Daughters of Ikire many more joyous celebrations.
