The Asiwaju Ndi Igbo of Yoruba Land, His Royal Highness, Eze Dr. James Nduka Oramadike JP, has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, Elewu Etu 1, on his installation as the new Alaafin of Oyo.

In a statement released by the Asiwaju Ndi Igbo of Yoruba Land, he described the ascension of Oba Owoade to the revered throne of his ancestors as a monumental milestone for Oyo town and its people. He emphasized that this occasion goes beyond a traditional event, representing a new dawn of leadership and prosperity.

“The Alaafin of Oyo has always symbolized strength, wisdom, and unity. The installation of Oba Owoade signals a fresh era of leadership rooted in our rich cultural heritage but forward-looking in vision. Under his reign, Oyo town stands poised for remarkable growth in culture, commerce, education, and governance,” Eze Oramadike stated.

He further expressed confidence that the new Alaafin’s leadership would foster peace and unity among the people, attract economic opportunities, and preserve the timeless values that define descendants of the Oyo Empire. According to him, the Alaafin’s influence will serve as a bridge connecting both old and new generations, paving the way for a progressive and inclusive future.

Addressing the people of Oyo town, the Asiwaju Ndi Igbo of Yoruba Land encouraged them to see the installation as a moment of hope and renewal. He urged them to rally behind their new monarch and remain committed to collective efforts in building a greater Oyo.

Eze Oramadike also expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering support in ensuring a smooth and peaceful transition. He commended the governor’s dedication to preserving the state’s cultural heritage.

“May the reign of the new Alaafin bring peace, progress, and abundant blessings to Oyo town, Oyo State, and indeed the entire Yoruba land. Long live the Alaafin of Oyo! Long live Oyo town!” he concluded.
