The Special Adviser to the Governor on Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon. Durojaye Isaac, has urged residents of the state to come out en mass on Saturday, February 22, 2025, to cast their vote in the Local Government Election.
He assured the good people of Osun State of Government’s commitment to a free, fair, and credible electoral process, assuring the public that H.E Sen. Ademola Adeleke is dedicated to protecting lives and property of the people, maintaining law and order.
He stated that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure a peaceful voting exercise, warning that any attempt to disrupt the process would not be tolerated.
Hon. Durojaye gave the assurance in a statement by his Media office on Friday, 21th February ,2025. According to him, the reports of potential disruptions, is nothing but figment of imagination of the opposition party APC, he assured residents that the election would hold as scheduled.
“No act of lawlessness will be allowed to undermine the democratic rights of the people. The election will hold, and every eligible voter must be given the opportunity to make their voice heard,” he stated.
Hon. Durojaye called on all stakeholders, political parties, and supporters to conduct themselves peacefully and respect the electoral process.
He noted that democracy thrives in active civic participation and urged residents to come out and cast their vote, stressing that their security is guaranteed.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency and fairness in the electoral process, stressing the need for collective efforts in building a stronger and more democratic process in Osun.
