The Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa in Oriade Local Government area of Osun State, Oba. Dr. Michael Odunayo Ajayi Arowotawaya II, has urged Nigerians to prioritize the art of praising God always.
The Traditional Ruler, who gave the charge while speaking at the Special Thanksgiving Organised towards his appointment and investiture as a distinguished Ambassador of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Kwara State recently.
At the well attended Special Thanksgiving which was held at the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun District Headquarters, Erinmo-Ijesa, Oba Arowotawaya maintained that every human being alive has sufficient reasons to appreciate God’s benevolence.
The revered Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa who was highly elated in his message titled” the significance of praising God”, highlighted; sustenance of good health, provision of food, protection from danger, gift of salvation, gift of life and the fact that God created humans in His own image, as few of the many reasons human beings ought to praise their maker.
Drawing inference from Psalm chapter 92 verse 1, the Elerinmo noted that, God would always be moved to attend to whoever praises Him wholeheartedly.
The famous traditional ruler who charged residents of the ancient Erinmo-Ijesa to submit themselves to God, and allow Him to be their Sailor, said they should not foment trouble while they should always be law abiding.
A powerful sermon was delivered by Reverend Dr Ebunoluwa Oluwaseyi Bakare JP (popularly known as Mama Gboromiro), Prophetess and Minister in Charge, the Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Oluwamayomikun Parish, Ibadan.
While speaking at the colourful programme, wife of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, Erelu Ngozi Adeleke congratulated Oba Arowotawaya for the recognition by the prestigious learning institution, UNILORIN as she described it a deserving honour on the traditional ruler.
Erelu Ngozi who congratulated residents of Erinmo-Ijesa for having such an Oba like Oba Arowotawaya admonished them to continue to demonstrate their unalloyed support to the monarch in transforming the entire community.
The Osun State Governor’s Wife reiterated her continuous support to the development and betterment of Erinmo-Ijesa saying he’s one of the indigene and nothing will stop her from promoting the entire town.
The special prayer was led by Rt Reverend Timothy Oladokun Olatunji, Bishop of the Methodist Church, ijesa North Diocese.
Traditional rulers from far and near, including representative of the Arole Oduduwa, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, political office holders, well wishers and traditional chiefs attended the Special Thanksgiving.
