Governor Adeleke who was speaking at the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday at the colourful engagement ceremony of the new couple held at TFK Event Centre, Guzape, Abuja, emphasised the need for them to always honour God first in their undertaking.

Governor Adeleke emphasised that while weddings are joyful, a strong marriage is more valuable than any material possession and to achieve this, he encouraged the couple to establish a deep connection with God, making Him the primary foundation and anchor of their martial bond.

“Please am admonishing you to demonstrate true love, openness, accountability, fear of God and let prayer guide you all the time in your family as I pray that Almighty God will continue to uphold, favour, promote and bless you as you are starting new life” Governor Adeleke advised.

The Osun State Governor congratulated the Groom’s father who is the Osun State Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs as well as frontline Senatorial hopeful for Osun Central, Aare Ganiyu Olaoluwa Asejere and entire family for witnessing the engagement ceremony of their children.

The event, which drew prominent personalities from across political, religious, and traditional spheres, was a true celebration of love, family, and culture.

Leading the array of dignitaries was the Governor of Osun State, Asiwaju Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, who graced the occasion in the company of the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye; the Yeyeluwa of Ede land, Chief (Mrs.) Modupeola Sanni-Adeleke; and the Chairman of Osun PDP, Hon. Sunday Bisi. They were joined by Commissioners, Special Advisers, Council Chairmen, Osun PDP State Working Committee, SSAs, SAs, Councilors and other distinguished personalities.

The engagement also bore royal splendour as traditional rulers, including the Owa of Otan Ayegbaju, Oba Lukman Adesola Ojo; the Oluresi of Iresi, Oba Sikiru Adeseun; and the Olororuwo of Ororuwo Land, Oba Adeyemi Adeyanju, honoured the families with their esteemed presence.

From the bride’s side, the family was ably led by the Deputy National President of the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria, Aare Ibrahim Adebayo Yusuf, who gave out his daughter in marriage. Representing the groom’s side was Aare Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa, Honourable Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs in Osun State and frontline senatorial hopeful for Osun Central.

The event was further electrified by the captivating performance of legendary music maestro, Alhaji Haruna Isola, who serenaded the audience with evergreen Yoruba classics, adding cultural depth and musical bliss to the glamorous occasion.

The union of Wuraola Yusuf and Rasheed Olaoluwa was thus sealed in a blend of tradition, joy, and communal goodwill, as family, friends, and dignitaries from near and far celebrated the beginning of their marital journey.
