NPFL: Mangut Hails Nasarawa United’s Win At Abia Warriors

Nasarawa United head coach, Mbwas Mangut has hailed the team’s away win over Abia Warriors, TheSource reports.

The Solid Miners rallied from a goal down to beat Imama Amapakabo’s side at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.

Former Enyimba striker Chukwuemeka Obioma gave Abia Warriors the lead two minutes before the break.

Substitute Habibu Alakija equalised for Nasarawa United two minutes after the break.

Jofrank Istifanus scored the winning goal in the 55th minute.

The hard-earned win propelled Nasarawa United to second position on the table.

“It’s quite a great win for us. We knew very well that we needed to get ourselves together to do what we did today,” Mangut told the club’s media.

The Lafia club will be away to Enyimba on Wednesday.
