Araj Foundation Impacts over 100,000 Lives in 13 Years – Kehinde Raji

The Founder of the Araj Empowerment Foundation, Engr. Kehinde Raji, has said his philanthropic programmes over the past 13 years have touched thousands of lives in Osun State.

He disclosed this during the 20th remembrance programme of his late father, Chief Adebayo Ayoola Raji, noting that the initiative was born out of the values his late father taught them about touching lives from a young age.

He revealed that over 100,000 people have benefited from the microcredit scheme over the years.

Engr. Kehinde explained that thousands of elderly citizens have also been enrolled in the Osun State Health Insurance Scheme, ensuring access to basic healthcare services.

He said that his foundation pays school fees for about 5,000 children annually to enable them continue their studies.

According to him, since 2013 we have impacted thousands of people far beyond 50,000. Through the microcredit grants we give to people, which they borrow and pass on to others, over 100,000 people have benefited over time.

He said “My father believed so much in education. He wasn’t highly educated because his parents were not financially self-sufficient. They could only afford a Standard Six education for him. My father did not attend any university, but he made sure that his children became PhD and Master’s degree holders. He valued education and believed it should be combined with a strong spiritual foundation to live a good life, to be God-fearing, and to be fair to humanity.

“Above all, he believed strongly in philanthropy and did a lot for the growth of his community. That spirit radiates among all the children. We are all trailblazers when it comes to philanthropy.

“Aside from that, through the Osun State Health Insurance Scheme that we provide for the elderly, thousands of aged people have benefited. We also pay school fees yearly for 5,000 children 5,000 every year. So it is huge; it is massive,” he said.
