Aiyedatiwa Storms Akure Streets with Mega Fitness Walk
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has led a large-scale health and fitness walk in Akure as part of efforts to promote regular exercise and overall wellbeing among residents.
The health walk attracted a wide range of participants, including government officials, civil society groups, and security agencies, underscoring a growing public awareness of the importance of maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Addressing participants after the exercise, Governor Aiyedatiwa commended the impressive turnout, describing it as a reflection of the people’s commitment to healthy living and community engagement.
The Governor also used the opportunity to speak on the recent disengagement of political aides in the state, praising their loyalty and service. He hinted at possible reappointments, noting that the ongoing restructuring process could lead to an expansion of appointments to about 1,000 positions.
He further urged residents to complement physical exercise with spiritual devotion, expressing optimism that the new month would usher in renewed strength, good health, and prosperity for all.
Meanwhile, the Ondo State Commissioner for Sports said the large turnout at the event was a clear indication of public confidence in the current administration and its policies aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens.
