LaLiga: Why Yamal Was Angry After Barcelona Defeated Atletico Madrid – Hansi Flick
Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, has explained why winger, Lamine Yamal was angry after the Blaugrana defeated Atletico Madrid in the LaLiga on Saturday.
Recall that two goals from Marcus Rashford and Robert Lewandowski ensured Barcelona defeated Atletico Madrid 2-1 at the Metropolitano Stadium.
But Yamal was captured on camera visibly angry after the final whistle as he walked past Flick, who tried to calm the Spain international down.
Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Flick said the 18-year-old was a bit angry because he failed to score against the hosts.
According to the former Bayern Munich coach, Yamal tried everything against Atletico and didn’t score.
“Lamine Yamal was a little bit angry because he was trying everything and he didn’t score,” Flick said.
“It’s an emotional game, it’s normal. He’s back at the dressing room now, and he’s fine.”
Barcelona will face Atletico Madrid again in the Champions League quarter-final first leg clash on Wednesday.
